This training is comprised of in-class instruction on Lean topics taught each day with hands-on exercises for the students to apply the learning. At the completion of the three day training, the students have learned and experienced the benefits of Lean tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Waste Identification and analysis, Takt Time, Lead, Time, Setup Reduction and 5S workplace organization.
Once the training is complete, the team then spends three to five days applying the Lean tools to a pre-selected project chosen by the client. Lean Promotion Inc. will guide the students through the project and monitor the improvements using key performance metrics to ensure waste and has been reduced and performance in productivity, cost and quality have been successful.

"I had the opportunity to complete Lean Manufacturing Training....
The training provided a hands-on introduction to Lean principles and continuous improvement tools used to identify waste, improve efficiency, and create more value within manufacturing processes.
Throughout the program, I gained experience with concepts including process mapping, value stream mapping, 5S workplace organization, root cause analysis through the 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams, quality improvement, and standard work.
One of the most valuable takeaways for me was learning about the different types of waste that can exist within a process. Before this training, I mainly thought of waste in terms of material waste, but I learned that waste can also take many other forms, including motion, waiting, transportation, overprocessing, inventory, defects, and overproduction. Understanding how Lean methodologies help identify and reduce these sources of waste gave me a new perspective on process improvement. Through practical exercises and team activities, I was able to see how small process changes can have a significant impact on productivity, quality, and workflow.
It was especially rewarding to learn how these methodologies are applied in a real manufacturing environment and how continuous improvement contributes to operational excellence".
Thank you to Brian Newington of Lean Promotion Inc. for sharing his knowledge and expertise throughout the training."
